Special moments at the Royal Wedding!
The historic royal wedding was nothing short of magical Saturday morning! The ceremony was filled with many special moments as #PrinceHarry and #MeghanMarkle tied the Windsor knot inside St. George's Chapel!
One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the address delivered by the Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry, who traveled to Windsor from Chicago. Curry, the head of the Episcopal Church, spoke passionately about the power of love and at one point quoted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world," he said. "Love is the only way. There's power in love. Don't underestimate it. Don't even over-sentimentalize it. There's power, power in love.
Like Princess Diana and Duchess Kate before her, Meghan didn't use the word "obey" in her vows. Her and Harry were also pronounced "husband and wife" instead of "man of wife." There were was a beautiful moment of Harry looking at Meghan and telling her,
You're so beautiful. I'm so lucky.
One of favorite moments was hearing The Kingdom Choir's powerful rendition of Stand By Me! "I'm honored, privileged, happy, excited, bemused, stunned -- all-in-one and more, and I'm still processing that," conductor Karen Gibson said.
It was amazing to see so much diversity at the wedding! Cornrows were everywhere! LOL. The queen probably was fascinated by the hairstyles! Everyone looked like they were having the time of their lives. I was crying as if I was actually there.
There were tons of celebs in attendance, from Oprah to Idris Elba, Serena Williams, Elton John, The Beckhams, Joss Stone, James Blunt and many of Markle's Suits co-stars. Even Harry's exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas showed up with smiles on their faces.
Congrats to these lovebirds for finding each other and spending the rest of their lives together.
