Alicia Graf Mack for Juilliard!

Today marks a moment in history! #Juilliard appointed Alicia Graf Mack as the new Juilliard Dance Division Director. She is a force to be reckoned with and I'm so thrilled that Juilliard is introducing more diversity. As a an alum, it brings me so much joy to see that it's moving in the right direction and continuing to evolve. Congrats Alicia! Check out Juilliard's letter about Graf!

Dear Alumni of the Dance Division:
We write to you with an exciting update on the search process for the next Director of the Dance Division.
With the guidance and support of the steering committee and with gratitude to the faculty, staff, and student advisory committees who participated in the final rounds of the search process, we are pleased to announce that we have appointed Alicia Graf Mack as the fifth Director of Juilliard's Dance Division beginning on July 1, 2018.
Alicia Graf Mack enjoyed a distinguished career as a leading dancer with Dance Theatre of Harlem and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She has also been a principal dancer with Complexions Contemporary Ballet and a guest artist with Alonzo King's LINES Ballet. As a dance educator, Ms. Mack is on the faculty at the University of Houston and is a visiting assistant professor of dance at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is the co-founder of D(n)A Arts Collective, an initiative created to enrich the lives of young dancers through master classes and intensives. 
Ms. Mack graduated magna cum laude with honors in History from Columbia University and holds an MA in Nonprofit Management from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a recipient of the Columbia University Medal of Excellence, an award given each year to one alumnus who has demonstrated excellence in their field of work.
We look forward to welcoming Alicia to the Juilliard community and in supporting her in the months ahead as she leads the Dance Division into this exciting next chapter.
